Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi has been seriously injured after being shot multiple times, the party’s spokesperson confirmed.
According to party officials, Rizvi was struck by three bullets and is currently in critical condition. He was shifted to a nearby medical facility, where doctors are working to stabilize him. So far, no official statement has been issued regarding the location of the attack or those responsible.
The situation across Punjab remains highly tense following the incident. The TLP spokesperson said that clashes have erupted in several areas, resulting in widespread unrest. The party alleges that over 250 workers and leaders have been killed and more than 1,500 others injured, many of whom remain in critical condition.
Security forces have reportedly been deployed in major cities to prevent further escalation, while authorities have urged the public to remain calm. Hospitals in Lahore and surrounding districts have been placed on high alert to handle potential emergencies.
The attack on Saad Rizvi comes amid ongoing political and religious tensions in the province, with analysts warning that the situation could worsen if stability is not restored soon.
