TikTok removed nearly 25 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2025, as per its Q1 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, covering the period from January to March. The report highlights that 24,954,128 videos were taken down in the country for breaching community guidelines. TikTok maintained a high proactive removal rate in Pakistan at 99.4%, with 95.8% of the flagged videos being removed within 24 hours of posting.
On a global scale, around 211 million videos were taken down during the same period—representing about 0.9% of all content uploaded. Out of these, over 184 million were automatically detected and removed by the platform’s moderation systems. Additionally, more than 7.5 million videos were later reinstated following a second review. Globally, TikTok achieved a 99% proactive removal rate, with 94.3% of videos being deleted within the first 24 hours.
The report also detailed the most common violations leading to content removal worldwide. Sensitive or mature themes accounted for 30.1% of deletions, followed by breaches of privacy and security (15.6%), safety and civility violations (11.5%), misinformation (4.5%), and misuse of altered or AI-generated media (13.8%).
TikTok emphasized that these quarterly reports reflect its commitment to transparency and responsible content management. The platform aims to inform users, regulators, and the public about how moderation is handled and which violations are most prevalent.
