In a shocking act of violence, three young men were blinded in Chak 3 village, Okara, after their rooster injured the eye of a rival bird during a cockfight.
Reports say the victims’ rooster gouged out the eye of the opposing party’s bird, sparking a brutal revenge attack in which members of the rival group allegedly gouged out the eyes of the three men.

The violent incident has triggered outrage in the local community, with residents demanding strict action against those involved. The victims were rushed to a hospital, and police have launched an investigation.
Cockfighting, a controversial and illegal activity in Pakistan, remains common in some rural areas. It involves forcing roosters to fight while spectators often bet on the outcome. The practice is banned under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, which criminalizes organizing or promoting such events.
