Three suspects, including a father and son, were killed in two separate alleged encounters with Lahore’s Crime Control Department (CCD), police officials confirmed. The incidents occurred in the Kahna and Shahdara areas during CCD operations targeting wanted criminals.
In the first incident, 55-year-old Fazal Rehman and his 25-year-old son Ameer Abbas were killed in the Kahna area during a CCD raid. Police claim the suspects resisted arrest, resulting in a crossfire during which both men were fatally shot — allegedly by their own accomplices. Two other suspects reportedly fled the scene.

Later the same day, another suspect named Tahir was killed in Shahdara during an identification raid while in police custody. According to CCD officials, Tahir’s associates opened fire during the operation, mistakenly shooting and killing him in the process.
Authorities stated that all three deceased were wanted in multiple serious criminal cases. Police have formed special teams to apprehend the remaining fugitives linked to both incidents.
CCD maintains that the encounters were lawful and that the deaths resulted from friendly fire within the suspects’ own groups during armed resistance.
