The UAE now provides work permit cancellation without requiring any documents

The UAE’s implementation of the ‘Work Bundle’ platform marks a significant advancement in streamlining visa and work permit processes for businesses and individuals alike. This initiative, now expanded across all seven emirates after its successful rollout in Dubai, aims to expedite various administrative tasks related to hiring and managing employees.

Under the newly launched second phase, the cancellation of a worker’s work permit has been reduced to just 45 seconds, a considerable improvement from the previous timeframe of 3 minutes and without the need for additional documents. This efficiency extends to other services encompassed by the Work Bundle, such as issuing new work permits, adjusting status, processing visas and employment contracts, issuing Emirates IDs, residency permits, and facilitating medical examinations.

This streamlined approach underscores the UAE’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and supporting its diverse workforce, which includes a substantial number of foreign nationals, including Pakistanis.
