ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has temporarily halted the Islamabad High Court’s decisions regarding the Audio Leaks case involving Bushra Bibi and Najam Saqib. A two-member bench, consisting of Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, has prohibited the IHC from continuing with its proceedings and suspended its order to cease surveillance.

During the hearing on Monday, concerns were raised about the possibility that the individuals involved might have leaked the recordings themselves. The Supreme Court also criticized the High Court for exceeding its authority and issued notices to the relevant parties. Both Justices Aminuddin Khan and Naeem Akhtar Afghan expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in resolving the case.
