Many store owners across the nation refused to accept Rs. 75 notes during Eid ul Fitr, which sparked rumours about the demonetization of the banknote.
The SBP spokesperson Abid Qamar confirmed that the commemorative banknote is legally genuine, just like any other currency note, in a video message that was released on the central bank’s official Twitter account.

He also made a point of mentioning that the Rs. 75 banknote was released last year to commemorate the nation’s 75th anniversary of independence.
He added:
In accordance with Section 25 of its Act, the SBP issues all banknotes. The Rs. 75 commemorative banknote is used for all transactions and has no expiration date.
