The prices of MG HS vehicles in Pakistan have seen a significant increase following new fiscal measures implemented by the government. These changes include the imposition of a new withholding tax on vehicles and recalculating registration charges based on vehicle invoice prices rather than engine capacity.
Here are the updated prices for the MG HS variants in Pakistan:
- MG HS Essence: Previous Price Rs. 8,099,000, New Price Rs. 8,260,980 (including withholding tax)
- MG HS 2.0L: Previous Price Rs. 9,299,000, New Price Rs. 9,484,950 (including withholding tax)
- MG HS Excite: Previous Price Rs. 7,199,000, New Price Rs. 7,342,980 (including withholding tax)

The government’s decision also impacts hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), as it has removed a 50% discount on customs duty previously applicable to HEV owners, now requiring full 100% customs duty without exemption.
