The Islamabad-Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service has resumed operations after a temporary suspension caused by a sit-in organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI). The protest, which was held in response to high electricity rates, led to significant disruptions in the Metro bus service.
Metro bus officials have confirmed that the service is now fully operational, running from Rawalpindi Saddar to Islamabad Secretariat. All stations on this route are back in service, providing much-needed relief to commuters.

Following the end of the protest, containers that had blocked Chandni Chowk have been removed, and most obstacles on Murree Road have been cleared. This has enabled the Metro bus service to resume normal operations.
The temporary halt in service had caused considerable inconvenience for many daily commuters who rely on the Metro bus for their transportation needs. The suspension disrupted routines and added financial strain to those dependent on this essential public transport option.
