[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]RAWALPINDI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two alleged human traffickers involved in unlawfully shipping youngsters to European countries, bringing the total number of arrests to 18, according to ARY News.
According to the sources, the operation was launched in response to an emotional request from Imran Azam, whose brother tragically died in a Greece boat catastrophe.
Earlier, the investigative agency stated that anti-human trafficking Gujrat had detained a human trafficker from Gujrat, known as Zafar Iqbal.

“The arrested suspect has taken millions of rupees from Pakistanis to send them to Europe,” the FIA stated, adding that during the raid, the agency has caught 16 human traffickers.
According to the FIA, over 37 cases have been filed against the human traffickers implicated in the Greece boat accident. Cases were filed in Lahore, Gujranwala, and Gujrat.
Furthermore, the authorities revealed that it has collected DNA samples from family members of 108 missing juveniles so far. “DNA samples were collected to identify the victims who died in the Greece boat disaster,” the statement continued.
