The Chinese Prime Minister is set to make a historic visit to Pakistan next month

Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is scheduled for a three-day official visit to Pakistan next month, as confirmed by diplomatic sources. The visit, slated for October 14 to 16, comes amid strengthening diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

This trip is seen as a significant step in continuing bilateral engagements, especially following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Beijing. According to diplomatic sources, Premier Li Qiang’s visit will be conducted in two phases.

In the first phase, Premier Li will arrive in Islamabad on October 14 for bilateral discussions focused on enhancing Pakistan-China relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

The second phase, scheduled for October 15 and 16, will see Premier Li participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which will be hosted in Pakistan. The SCO summit is expected to bring together leaders from member countries to discuss regional security, economic cooperation, and other key issues.

Several agreements between Pakistan and China are anticipated to be signed during this visit, further solidifying the longstanding ties between the two nations. This visit, the first by a Chinese premier to Pakistan in 11 years, is being hailed as a continuation of the positive momentum in bilateral relations, particularly following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent engagement with Chinese leadership.
