The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has recently conducted a crackdown on unauthorized constructions, targeting several buildings across the federal capital for violating city bylaws. This operation focused specifically on areas such as G-9/4 Sector and Gulberg Residencia.
In G-9/4 Sector, the CDA sealed 38 buildings due to non-conforming use, indicating that these structures were being utilized in ways not approved by the authority. Meanwhile, in Gulberg Residencia, 22 under-construction buildings were sealed because they lacked the necessary permissions from the CDA for their construction activities.

Prior to taking these actions, the CDA had issued warnings and notices to the owners of these properties, instructing them to obtain the required permissions before commencing any construction. Despite these warnings, unauthorized construction activities persisted, prompting the CDA to enforce these measures.
Following the sealing of the buildings, the CDA proceeded to issue notices to the property owners, likely detailing the violations and outlining the steps required to rectify the situation. This crackdown underscores the CDA’s commitment to upholding city planning regulations and preventing unauthorized developments that could adversely impact urban infrastructure and aesthetics.
