A military aircraft on a routine training mission crashed into the sea near Chumphon, Thailand, resulting in the deaths of five senior officers. The pilot, initially presumed dead, was later found alive but remains in critical condition.
The plane, operated by a Thai security agency, was carrying six people—one pilot and five senior officials—when it went down. The pilot, Colonel Chaturong Wattanapreesarn, survived the crash and is currently under intensive care, with doctors stressing that his condition is critical.

Authorities have begun a formal investigation to determine the cause of the crash, although terrorism has been ruled out, with no signs of external interference found so far.
