HANGU – A terrorist attack targeted an FC Fort located in the Torawari area within the Doaba police limits of Hangu. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of two Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel and injuries to 17 others.
District Police Officer (DPO) Hangu, Khalid Khan, stated that police and FC forces responded swiftly to the attack. They engaged the terrorists and killed five militants, including a local facilitator involved in the assault.
The FC Fort came under heavy fire, but the security forces quickly took control of the situation. The joint operation by police and FC troops is still ongoing to clear the area of any remaining threats.
Following the attack, security officials sealed off the surrounding area to maintain control and prevent further violence. The bodies of the two martyred personnel and the injured have been transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
