[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In a recent announcement, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov shared that Stories will be introduced on the messaging app in early July. Durov acknowledged the long-standing user requests for this feature, with over half of the feature requests received by Telegram relating to Stories. Despite initial hesitation, the company decided to prioritize user feedback and incorporate the feature.
With Telegram Stories, users will have the ability to control who sees their stories. They can choose to share their Stories with everyone, their contacts, a select group of individuals, or a customized list of close friends.
The Stories section will be conveniently located at the top of the chat list, making it easily accessible. Users will also have the option to hide Stories from specific contacts by moving them to the “Hidden” list within their Contacts section, keeping their main screen clutter-free.

Captions and links can be included in Stories to enhance the storytelling experience. Users can also tag others in their Stories, facilitating interaction and engagement. Additionally, users will be able to capture photos and videos using both front and rear cameras simultaneously, similar to the BeReal-style concept.
Users will have control over the duration of their Stories, with options to set an expiration time of 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours, after which the Story will no longer be visible. Alternatively, there will be an option to permanently showcase Stories on the user’s profile page, similar to Instagram’s Story highlights, allowing them to curate a collection of memorable moments for their audience to enjoy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
