Outfits, musical instruments, and other objects on loan from US musician Taylor Swift are being showcased at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in a temporary summer exhibition.
Titled “Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail,” the exhibition consists of 13 installations spread across various galleries in the museum. According to curator Kate Bailey, the exhibition provides a journey through Swift’s career, highlighting different eras and featuring items worn and used by the 14-time Grammy winner.

Bailey and her team accessed Swift’s personal archives to select items for the exhibition. The installations, theatrically staged, are strategically placed in galleries that resonate with significant moments in Swift’s career. Some of the showcased items include:
– Customised cowboy boots from Swift’s early career.
– The wig and facial hair from “The Man” music video.
– Reproductions of hand-drawn storyboards for the “Willow” music video.
– A golden microphone with snake details used during the Reputation stadium tour.
– The ukulele played on the Speak Now world tour.
– The fisherman cap from the “Red (Taylor’s Version)” album cover.
Bailey emphasized the diversity of the items, aiming to reflect Swift’s entire career and creativity. This marks the first time such a trail has been conducted at the V&A, and these objects are being displayed in the UK for the first time.
The exhibition, which is free to the public, runs from June 27 to September 8 at the V&A South Kensington. Visitors can expect the trail to take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.
