Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants Issued for Malik Riaz, Ali Riaz in Takht Pari Case
The Accountability Court in Rawalpindi has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz Malik in connection with the Takht Pari reference. The warrants were issued after their repeated failure to appear before the court.

Presiding Judge Muhammad Akmal Khan has directed authorities to arrest and produce the father-son duo at the next hearing. The case involves allegations of illegal occupation of government land for Bahria Town’s phases seven and eight.
A total of 17 individuals, including former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Malik Riaz, have been named in the reference.

Court Grants Pervaiz Elahi One-Day Exemption
During the hearing, Pervaiz Elahi’s lawyer presented a medical certificate, citing health concerns. The court granted a one-day exemption but directed all 14 accused to submit bail bonds worth Rs500,000 each.
Rs335 Billion Corruption Allegations
The reference, filed last month, accuses the suspects of causing a Rs335 billion loss to the national exchequer by illegally transferring thousands of kanals of government land in Takht Pari to Bahria Town.
The court has adjourned proceedings until April 16, ordering authorities to ensure the presence of all accused at the next hearing.
