Starlink Rolls Out High-Speed Satellite Internet Service in Bahrain

Starlink Launches High-Speed Satellite Internet Service in Bahrain

Starlink, the satellite internet venture developed by Elon Musk’s aerospace company SpaceX, has officially launched its high-speed internet service across Bahrain, the company confirmed via its official X account (formerly Twitter).

The launch follows the telecommunications licence granted by Bahrain’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in 2022, authorizing Starlink to provide satellite-based internet solutions throughout the Kingdom.

Philippe Marnick, Director General of TRA Bahrain, welcomed the development, stating, “This reinforces our commitment to providing advanced telecommunications solutions that support the Kingdom’s development vision and meet the aspirations of both the public and private sectors.”

Starlink’s entry into the Bahraini market marks an important milestone in its rapid global expansion. By May 2025, the service was available in more than 125 countries worldwide.

Using a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink delivers high-speed, low-latency internet connectivity, particularly benefiting remote and underserved areas.

Beyond domestic and commercial applications, Starlink also supports critical mobile sectors such as aviation and maritime operations, opening new opportunities for innovation in logistics and mobility
