Pakistan names playing XI with four debutants in first T20i against Afghanistan

Pakistan has named a dynamic XI for the first of three T20Is against Afghanistan on Friday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Pakistan will make their debuts with opener Saim Ayub, middle-order batter Tayyab Tahir, and right-arm quicks Zaman Khan and Ihsanullah.

Top-order batsman Abdullah Shafique, all-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Imad Wasim, and Azam Khan all make their Pakistan debuts.

Following a string of impressive performances in the domestic circuit and the recently concluded HBL Pakistan Super League 8, these eight players were named to the 15-man squad for this T20I series. The series provides an opportunity for these players to continue their good form in international cricket.
