A tragic incident struck Karachi’s Federal B Area when a speeding dumper rammed into a motorcycle carrying a father and his two children near Lucky One Shopping Mall, killing a 22-year-old woman, Mah Noor, and her 14-year-old brother, Ahmed Raza. Both died in hospital from severe injuries, while their father, Shakir, survived but was critically wounded.
Outraged locals attacked the dumper driver, identified as Firdous Khan, severely beating him before police took him into custody. In a wave of fury, protesters pelted stones at other dumpers and set seven ablaze — four between Gulshan Chowrangi and Sohrab Goth, and three on the highway back toward Gulshan Chowrangi.
Police and Rangers moved in to restore order, with fire brigades working to control the flames. SP Gulberg Iqbal Sheikh confirmed the crash location near Sagheer Center and said 10 suspects were arrested for the violence, with more arrests expected based on CCTV and video evidence.
