Speeding Dumper Claims Lives of Three Motorcyclists in Karachi

In a tragic incident in Karachi, a speeding dumper ran over three young men riding a motorcycle near Korangi Crossing. The crash, which occurred while the dumper was en route from Ibrahim Hyderi, resulted in the instant deaths of the three victims.

The bodies were transported to Jinnah Hospital, while the dumper driver managed to flee the scene. In the aftermath of the accident, enraged citizens set the dumper ablaze, expressing their frustration over the reckless behavior of heavy vehicle drivers.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, a significant police presence arrived at the scene, attempting to disperse the angry crowd. Authorities have since launched efforts to locate the dumper driver, who fled following the crash.

An eyewitness at the scene reported that the dumper was speeding on the wrong side of the road in broad daylight. The vehicle, loaded with sand, fled after causing the accident, adding to the outrage of the public.

The incident sheds light on the ongoing issue of heavy vehicles defying government regulations by operating recklessly on city streets during the day, despite official orders restricting their movement.

In a separate incident earlier this week, police arrested the driver responsible for a fatal accident in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area. The crash, which occurred on February 5th, involved a high-speed dumper that collided with three motorcycles and two cars, killing three individuals, including a woman.

The dumper driver, identified as Mawaz Khan, initially fled the scene but was later traced and arrested by Shahrah-e-Faisal police using modern technology. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.

Authorities have acknowledged the rising number of accidents involving heavy vehicles in Karachi, and law enforcement is taking stricter measures to address the growing problem of reckless driving.
