The South Africa Women’s cricket team has arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore in preparation for their upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan. The series is set to begin next week at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Captain Laura Wolvaardt leads the South African squad, which traveled from Johannesburg, with a stopover in Dubai before landing in Lahore. The team will soon fly to Multan via a chartered plane to get ready for the matches.

The T20I series will feature three games between South Africa and Pakistan on September 16, 18, and 20. The first two matches will start at 7 PM, while the final match is scheduled for 10 AM. All games will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The Pakistan team, led by Fatima Sana, includes key players such as Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, and wicketkeeper Muneeba Ali. Other notable players are Nashra Sundhu, Nida Dar, and Omaima Sohail, with Sadia Iqbal’s participation depending on her fitness.
The South African team, under Laura Wolvaardt’s captaincy, features experienced players like Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, and Chloe Tryon, alongside Tazmin Brits, Sinalo Jafta, and Ayabonga Khaka, presenting a formidable lineup for the series.
This series is an important preparatory event for both teams as they gear up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan is in Group A with Australia, India, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, while South Africa is in Group B with Bangladesh, England, Scotland, and the West Indies.
