South Africa’s women’s cricket team secured the T20I series against Pakistan with an 8-wicket win in the third and final match in Multan.

Pakistan batted first, putting up a score of 153/5 in their 20 overs. Key contributions came from Sidra Ameen (37), Muneeba Ali (33), and captain Fatima Sana (27). Despite their efforts, South Africa chased down the target in just 18.3 overs, losing only 2 wickets. South African captain Laura Wolvaardt scored 45, Anneke Bosch made 46, and Nadine de Klerk remained unbeaten on 44, guiding their team to victory.

In the series opener, South Africa defeated Pakistan by 10 runs. Batting first, South Africa posted 132/4, with Tazmin Brits scoring 56. Pakistan fell short in their chase, managing 122/5 despite Aliya Riaz’s 52. Marizanne Kapp and Seshnie Naidu took key wickets to seal the win for South Africa.

Match 2 Recap:
Pakistan bounced back in the second match, winning by 13 runs. Pakistan set a target of 182, with Muneeba Ali’s 45 and Fatima Sana’s 37 leading the charge. South Africa could only manage 168/4 in their chase, with Laura Wolvaardt’s 36 being the top score. Pakistan’s bowlers, including Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu, played crucial roles in restricting South Africa.

The series win for South Africa sets the tone for the upcoming ODI series, while Pakistan will look to regroup after showing resilience in the second T20I.
