South Africa is set to return to Pakistan for the first time in over four years, with the Test series expected to start on October 12. The tour will include 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is, pending final approval.
According to details, a South African delegation is in Pakistan to inspect arrangements before confirming the schedule. The PCB’s proposed plan has the first Test in Lahore (Oct 12–16) and the second in Rawalpindi (Oct 20–24).
The ODI series is scheduled to begin on Oct 28 in Lahore, followed by matches on Oct 31 and Nov 2 in Faisalabad, marking the city’s return to international cricket. The T20Is are planned for Multan (Nov 5) and Lahore (Nov 8–9), though Multan’s inclusion remains uncertain.
This tour would be South Africa’s first since January–February 2021, when they lost both Tests and the T20I series.
Meanwhile, the South African women’s team is also due for a Pakistan series earlier in October.
