In a touching gesture of reverence, renowned Indian singer Sonu Nigam paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary vocalist Asha Bhosle by washing her feet. This memorable moment took place during a grand book unveiling event in Mumbai, celebrating Bhosle’s illustrious life with the launch of ‘Swaraswamini Asha’.
The event was graced by several esteemed Indian personalities, including actor Jackie Shroff and Sonu Nigam.

During the ceremony, Sonu Nigam took the stage and respectfully knelt at Asha Bhosle’s feet. He began by kissing her feet, then gently washed them with his hands. After drying her feet with a towel, he touched them again before stepping away from the stage.
Sonu also delivered a heartfelt speech, praising Asha Bhosle’s immense contributions to music, along with those of her late sister, Lata Mangeshkar.
Actor Jackie Shroff also showed his respect by touching Asha Bhosle’s feet and presenting her with a bouquet of flowers.
