As snowfall begins in Murree Hills, the City Traffic Police has issued essential precautions for tourists traveling to the region. With temperatures dropping to a minimum of -1°C and a maximum of 8°C, visitors are urged to prepare for winter conditions. Chief Traffic Officer Murree, Mughees Ahmad Hashmi, assured that the authorities are fully prepared to manage the expected increase in tourist traffic and ensure smooth travel in the region.
To address potential congestion, around 200 traffic wardens have been deployed to manage the flow of vehicles. Authorities emphasized the importance of safety during snowy weather and reminded travelers to take necessary measures before heading to Murree.

For those planning to travel to the hill station, the City Traffic Police provided a detailed checklist for winter driving. Essential items for cold-weather preparedness include food, water, warm clothing, blankets, a flashlight, and medications. In addition, travelers should avoid unnecessary travel during extreme weather, drive slowly for better traction, and maintain a safe distance of 5-6 seconds. It’s important to have the vehicle checked, monitor weather conditions, inform someone of your route, and avoid night driving in snowy conditions. Authorities recommend staying in communication with loved ones for added safety.
