The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has introduced the KP Women Digital Internship Program 2025–26, a six-month paid initiative designed to provide women with practical experience in major digital and technology sectors. The program aims to strengthen women’s involvement in the growing digital economy by equipping them with in-demand technical skills.
Selected participants will gain hands-on training in various high-growth fields, including Artificial Intelligence, UI/UX design, web development, application development, graphic design, and digital marketing. Through structured placements, interns will work in IT Park companies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as at the Digital Transformation Unit and KPITB headquarters. This exposure is intended to help them build industry-relevant expertise and improve their professional prospects.
Under the program, each intern will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 for the full six-month duration. Officials stated that the initiative focuses on reducing the gender gap in technology by creating meaningful opportunities for women to enter and thrive in emerging tech domains. By offering practical training and workplace exposure, the internship is expected to prepare participants for long-term careers in digital industries.
Authorities emphasized that the initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to empowering women through technology-driven opportunities.
