Six Family Members, Including Infants, Die In Lahore Accident

In a tragic incident on Saturday night in Lahore’s Defence Phase 7 area, six family members lost their lives in a car accident. Rafaqat Ali and his family, returning from a visit to his daughter’s in-laws, collided between two cars near Defence Phase 7.

The crash resulted in critical injuries to six family members, including two infants, who were later pronounced dead during treatment at Lahore General Hospital. The victims were identified as Rukhsana, 52; Anabia, 3; Huzaifa, four months; Muhammad Hasnain, 28; Sajjad, 26; Ayesha, 22.

The driver, Afnan Shafqat, responsible for the accident due to alleged negligence, over-speeding, and rash driving, was arrested, and a case was registered against him. The vehicle involved in the accident was also seized. Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed condolences, ordered a report on the incident, and called for legal action against the negligent driver.
