Sindh Starts Issuing International Driving Licenses from 11 Branches

The Sindh government has significantly expanded its service for issuing international driving licenses, now available at all 11 driving license branches across the province. This service was previously limited to the Clifton branch in Karachi.

Key Highlights:

  • Online Application: Sindh residents holding valid driving licenses can now apply online for an international driving license, eliminating the need to visit a branch in person.
  • Launch Details: According to DIG Training and Licensing, Iqbal Dara, the service was launched on September 14 at six branches in Karachi and is now available in other cities including Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana.
  • Current Statistics: The Clifton branch has issued 693 international driving licenses, and other branches such as Korangi, Malir, and Nazimabad have also begun processing applications.
  • Delivery Service: For those applying online, the international driving permits will be delivered via TCS courier service.
  • Fee Payment: An online payment system is in place for the application fee of Rs 1,088, enhancing convenience for applicants.

Objective:

This initiative aims to streamline the application process, making it more accessible for all residents of Sindh to obtain their international driving licenses.
