Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has announced a comprehensive plan to transition all public schools in the province to solar energy. Private schools will also receive full government support to adopt solar power solutions. This initiative reflects Sindh’s commitment to promoting renewable energy and enhancing educational infrastructure.
Speaking at the All Sindh Science and Arts Gala held at the PAF Museum under the theme “Paigham Pakistan – Istehkam Pakistan” (Message of Pakistan – Stability of Pakistan), Shah highlighted the importance of sustainable energy and education reform in fostering national unity and progress. The event was organized by the Directorate of Private Schools Education Sindh and All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Education.

During his speech, the minister emphasized the role of teachers in shaping Pakistan’s future by educating students on the nation’s history and encouraging stability, optimism, and progress. Shah noted that improving conditions and increasing job opportunities are paving the way for a brighter future for Pakistan’s youth.
The minister also pointed out growing confidence among local and international investors in Pakistan’s economic stability, leading to greater investment across various sectors. He reaffirmed the government’s efforts to address energy shortages, combat overbilling, and ensure affordable electricity for consumers, particularly during peak summer months.
The solarization of schools is part of a broader initiative to tackle energy challenges, promote eco-friendly practices, and reduce reliance on traditional power sources. Shah concluded by reiterating the Sindh government’s vision to modernize infrastructure and enhance sustainability, encouraging educators to instill patriotism and innovation in students to build a progressive, self-reliant Pakistan.
