The Sindh Education Department has officially launched an online transfer system for teachers and employees, shifting school administration to a fully digital platform across the province.
Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah said the e-transfer system became fully operational on January 15, replacing the traditional paper-based transfer process.
He explained that the new digital workflow has been introduced to ensure transparency, merit, and fairness while reducing human intervention in transfer decisions.
Under the system, teachers can submit transfer applications online and track their status from home without visiting education offices repeatedly.
In its first phase, the platform covers 133,547 teachers working across Sindh, including primary and junior elementary schoolteachers in government institutions.
The minister said the system will later be expanded to include all education department employees after technical improvements and phased evaluations.
Syed Sardar Ali Shah said the provincial cabinet approved the initiative as part of broader reforms aimed at modernising Sindh’s education sector.
He noted that the phased rollout allows the department to monitor performance, address technical issues, and ensure smooth adoption across districts.
According to the minister, the digital transfer mechanism will significantly reduce processing time and minimise unnecessary administrative delays.
The department also expects the new system to lower operational costs and eliminate procedural bottlenecks that previously affected teachers.
Education officials believe the move will strengthen trust between teachers and the department by making transfer decisions visible and traceable.
The initiative reflects Sindh’s growing focus on using technology to improve governance, service delivery, and accountability within public institutions.
