Pakistan-born Zimbabwean cricketer Sikandar Raza has achieved a major milestone by becoming the world’s top-ranked ODI all-rounder, according to the latest ICC rankings released on Wednesday. His consistent all-round performance in the recent ODI series against Sri Lanka played a crucial role in securing this achievement, pushing Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi to second place.
Along with his rise to the No. 1 spot among all-rounders, Raza also made significant progress in other categories, climbing nine places in ODI batting to reach 22nd and moving up one position in bowling to 38th.
For Pakistan, Babar Azam maintained his stronghold as the world’s No. 3 ranked ODI batter. However, Mohammad Rizwan slipped to 26th, while Fakhar Zaman improved slightly, moving to 27th position.
In the T20 rankings, Pakistani batters experienced mixed results. Babar Azam dropped three spots to 21st, and Rizwan slipped two places to 22nd. Hasan Nawaz, however, improved to 31st, while Saim Ayub moved down to 40th.
On the bowling side, Pakistan showed upward momentum. Young spinner Sufiyan Muqeem jumped 11 places to 22nd, while pacer Shaheen Afridi advanced to 26th. Haris Rauf, on the other hand, dropped four places, settling at 28th.
