This price cut includes a range of popular household products such as ghee, cooking oil, tea, detergent, noodles, ketchup, tetra-pack milk, powdered milk, spices, pickles, soap, and toothpaste. Despite the temporary suspension of the Benazir Income Support Program’s subsidy, which is anticipated to resume soon under a revised mechanism, the price reductions are expected to ease the financial strain on households. The Utility Stores Corporation has also committed to enhancing its services and ensuring a consistent supply of quality products at discounted rates.

In related news, the joint session of Parliament has been postponed until next week, potentially affecting legislative processes related to economic policies. The Utility Stores Corporation’s management has indicated that additional price cuts for other items are being planned, further supporting the effort to combat inflation and assist consumers.
