The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has achieved a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to stabilize and strengthen Pakistan’s economy, particularly through initiatives aimed at promoting the IT sector. These efforts are beginning to yield positive results, as evidenced by a recent development involving the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC).
NRTC has signed an important agreement with Allied Australia and Tech Valley Pakistan to establish a Chromebook manufacturing assembly in Pakistan. This initiative marks a major step forward in the country’s technological advancement and educational development.
Irwin Sether Jackson, CEO and Founder of Allied Corporation Australia, highlighted the significance of the agreement, stating, “We have signed an agreement with NRTC to manufacture Chromebooks within Pakistan and also announced another agreement with Pakistan’s Ministry of Education.” This collaboration will result in the provision of 500,000 Chromebooks to students in Pakistan, facilitated by a partnership between Google Allied, Tech Valley, and the Ministry of Education.

Jackson extended his gratitude to SIFC and the Ministry of Education for their support, expressing optimism about the outcomes of this partnership. This initiative not only aims to enhance educational resources but also to foster local manufacturing capabilities and create job opportunities, thereby contributing to the overall economic growth of Pakistan.
