Sidra Amin from the Pakistan Women’s cricket team incurred a 10% fine of her match fee due to a Level 1 violation of the ICC Code of Conduct. This occurred during the initial match of the ICC Women’s Championship series versus Bangladesh in Dhaka.

In the sixth over of Pakistan’s innings, Sidra reportedly displayed displeasure upon being given out leg before wicket. The on-field umpires, Masudur Rahman and Morshed Ali Khan, filed the charges, and their claim was supported by the third umpire, Muhammad Kamruzzaman, and the fourth umpire, Sajedul Islam.

In an official statement, the ICC announced that “Sidra was found to have breached Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which pertains to expressing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during an International Match.”

Consequently, Sidra’s disciplinary record was updated with one demerit point, marking her first violation within a 24-month period. Sidra accepted the penalty without the need for a formal hearing.

Following this incident, Pakistan Women’s team leads the three-match ODI series with a 1-0 victory over Bangladesh on Saturday.
