Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has been rushed to the ICU in Sydney following a serious on-field injury during the third ODI against Australia.
The star batter reportedly suffered a severe blow to his lower rib cage, which led to internal bleeding and a spleen laceration, a potentially life-threatening condition.
According to reports, Iyer collapsed after the incident and was immediately taken off the field for emergency medical attention.
Doctors later confirmed internal injuries, and he remains under close observation in the intensive care unit. The BCCI stated that Iyer’s condition is being closely monitored by specialists and further updates will be shared once he stabilizes.
