Shehbaz Sharif held a restricted meeting with Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, during his visit to Jeddah.
The meeting was also attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.
At the start of the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his warm regards and best wishes to Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and King of Saudi Arabia. He expressed deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s continued support for Pakistan across various sectors.
The prime minister also reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia during what he described as challenging regional circumstances. He emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is built on strong historical, political, and strategic ties.
Both leaders held an in-depth discussion on the latest developments in the region and reviewed the evolving geopolitical situation. During the meeting, they agreed on the importance of maintaining close coordination and working together to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the Saudi crown prince that Pakistan would continue to stand firmly with Saudi Arabia and support efforts aimed at achieving lasting regional peace.
