Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in discussions for a cameo role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Media outlets indicate that Khan has met with Bhansali to talk about a special role in the second half of the film, involving a powerful sequence with Kapoor. If the discussions proceed, Khan is expected to start filming his scenes in January 2025.
Ranbir Kapoor has already begun shooting for the movie, while Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal are slated to join the production. This collaboration marks Bhansali’s first project with Vicky Kaushal, although he previously worked with Kapoor in Swaraiya and with Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi.

The film, which is set for release during Christmas 2025, was officially announced in January 2024. Shah Rukh Khan, who made a strong comeback with hits like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, is also preparing for his next project, King, a thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
In related news, Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed that his son Aryan Khan will debut as a creator and director for an upcoming Netflix series focused on Bollywood. The series is produced by Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan.
