This was the second shooting incident reported by the Kurram agency in a single day. This brings the district’s total death to eight.
The teachers, who were at the school to conduct exams, were inside the staffroom when unidentified assailants opened fire on them. Higher authorities have declared an emergency in all of the area’s hospitals.

Board exams in Parachinar have been postponed indefinitely, according to the chairperson of Kohat’s education board, Samina Altaf. “The students inside the exam centre were safe,” she said.
The chairperson also stated that board exams will be held as scheduled in the rest of the Kurram district and areas.
Terrorists have long sought refuge in Pakistan’s tribal regions. Because of their proximity to Afghanistan, which has been wracked by a long and lethal civil war, the tribal regions have become a melting pot of militants who frequently use the porous border between the two countries to sneak in and out to mount attacks in both countries.
This tribal belt was the birthplace of the TTP, the umbrella organisation of terrorist groups responsible for the majority of the country’s militant violence. Because of its proximity to tribal areas, K-P was also vulnerable to TTP attacks.
Tens of thousands of people took to the streets four days ago to protest the deteriorating law and order situation in K-P’s Lakki Marwat district.
The protest was attended by a large number of local residents, including political workers from all parties, civil society, lawyers, and students.
Olasi Pasawon Lakki Marwat issued the protest call after terrorists attacked a local college where the army was stationed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
