Five senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), currently imprisoned in multiple cases, have called for immediate dialogue with the government to address the country’s intensifying political crisis.

In a joint open letter issued from jail, PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Ijaz Chaudhry, and Omar Sarfaraz Cheema emphasized the urgent need for negotiations among all stakeholders, stating that “dialogue is the only way out of the worst crisis.” They stressed that political-level discussions must include the incarcerated leaders and insisted that the government holds the primary responsibility to initiate talks. However, they added that any such move must be taken in consultation with PTI’s jailed founder, Imran Khan.
