Prominent Pakistani journalist and TV anchor Jasmeen Manzoor has bravely spoken out about facing severe domestic abuse, sharing graphic images of her injuries online. Her emotional testimony has reignited national debate on women’s safety and justice.

In a series of posts, Jasmeen revealed swollen facial injuries and medical reports as evidence of the violence she endured. She said previous cries for help were ignored, and called out those who had supported her ex-husband, labeling him “a criminal.” In one powerful statement, she wrote, “This is me. My life was destroyed by a violent man. I leave my justice to Allah.”

Appealing to global media, Jasmeen stated, “I’m a journalist from Pakistan. If this can happen to me, think about the millions of voiceless women suffering in silence.”

Since the incident, she has been outspoken on social media, calling out those involved in her personal trauma. On June 9, she blamed another woman for her marital breakdown. By June 14, she had announced a documentary focused on sexual harassment, encouraging other victims to speak up.

Her public stand has drawn widespread support from journalists, activists, and the public, while sparking urgent conversations about how domestic violence cases—particularly those involving prominent individuals—are handled in Pakistan
