The appointment is seen as a significant step towards fostering political dialogue and resolving ongoing tensions between the government and opposition.
Government Ready for Talks with PTI
Earlier this week, Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, reaffirmed the government’s willingness to engage in talks with PTI. During a session in the National Assembly, Sanaullah described this development as an “extraordinary” step toward political stability.
“The prime minister has clearly stated that the government is ready to discuss every matter,” Sanaullah said. He urged PTI’s negotiation committee to send a formal message for initiating talks, emphasizing that the democratic system relies on constructive negotiations between the government and opposition.
These developments signal a potential breakthrough in fostering dialogue, which could help de-escalate political tensions and ensure smoother governance.
