He claimed that if a Rs500 radio fee is paid at the time of vehicle registration, Radio Pakistan may earn Rs15 billion every year.
The committee unanimously adopted his suggestion after careful consideration.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui stated that Radio Pakistan is a national treasure, and its buildings and lands cannot be sold, rented, or leased for pennies on the dollar.
He expressed his sadness that retired Radio Pakistan staff were not receiving their pensions on time.
“In these days of inflation, it is agony and terrible for the old retired employees to make ends meet without pensions,” he said, adding that required steps should be made to assure prompt payment of salaries, pensions, and medical benefits to employees.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
