Security Forces Kill 24 Terrorists in KPK Operations

Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have successfully eliminated 24 terrorists during two separate intelligence-based operations conducted on February 4 and 5, 2026. The operations targeted members of the Indian proxy group Fitna Al Khwarij, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In Orakzai District, security forces launched a precision operation after receiving intelligence on the presence of terrorists. During the operation, troops engaged the Khwarij hideout, resulting in an intense firefight that led to the elimination of fourteen terrorists.

A second operation was conducted in Khyber District, where ten more Khwarij operatives were neutralized following another exchange of gunfire. Both operations were carried out under strict operational planning and coordination to minimize collateral damage while effectively targeting terrorist elements.

Sanitization operations are underway in both districts to locate and eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored Khwarij in the area. These measures are part of a larger, relentless counter-terrorism campaign across Pakistan.

The campaign, titled “Azm-e-Istehkam”, was approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. It aims to completely eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan through coordinated efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies.

Officials emphasized that operations will continue at full pace to secure the region and prevent terrorist groups from regaining strength, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to national security and public safety.
