Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (PSX: SAZEW) has announced its plans to expand rickshaw exports to three new international markets — the Philippines, Mexico, and Afghanistan.
In a corporate briefing shared by Topline Securities, company officials noted that recent floods had little impact on supply operations, with only brief delays when the Karachi-Lahore route was closed. Currently, Sazgar offers six four-wheeler models — four Haval H6 variants and two Jolion variants. While Q4 margins dipped due to increased sales of lower-margin products, they still remained above industry averages.
Growing bookings have extended delivery periods from 2–3 months to 3–4 months. Sazgar’s four-wheeler production capacity is 40 units daily, though current output stands at 60, with expansion underway to reach 100–120 units per day. The company also hinted at introducing double shifts to meet demand.
Under the Greenfield policy, Petrol and HEV models enjoy benefits until June 2026, though PHEVs are excluded. To sustain profitability beyond this, Sazgar aims to rely on volume growth, efficiency improvements, and a new 5MW rooftop solar plant.
Looking forward, the company will launch TANK and Canon Alpha variants by March 2026, while continuing to scale its rickshaw exports.
