Following the landmark Pakistan-Saudi defense agreement, another significant development unfolded with the arrival of a high-level Saudi delegation in Islamabad.
Reports indicate that the Saudi delegation is headed by Prince Mansour bin Muhammad Al Saud. During their stay, Saudi officials are expected to hold meetings with Pakistan’s top leadership, including the Prime Minister, and finalize several agreements and MoUs.
Just two days before the visit, the Prime Minister established an 18-member high-level committee aimed at boosting economic collaboration after the recent defense pact.
The committee includes key figures such as Economic Affairs Minister Ahsan Cheema, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Energy Minister Owais Leghari, Food Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, SECP Chairman Akif Saeed, and SBP Deputy Governor Dr. Inayat Hussain.
According to the official notification, the formation of this committee highlights the deepening Pakistan–Saudi Arabia partnership, which now extends beyond defense and energy into environmental and climate cooperation.
