Saudi Arabia Expands Absher Digital Services for Citizens and Expatriates

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has introduced new digital services on its Absher platform to enhance convenience for both citizens and expatriates, streamlining government procedures and improving service efficiency.

Key Updates on Absher

  • Passport Services: Users can now upload dependent photos for passport issuance or renewal and update passport details for foreign residents.
  • Digital Identity: Expatriates can access and present their digital ID when required by authorities.
  • National ID Services: Saudi citizens can now renew or replace a lost or damaged national ID card directly via the app.
  • Education Updates: Users can update their educational qualifications with the Ministry of Education by submitting documents through Absher.

Seamless Digital Experience

The Directorate of Civil Affairs has urged users to log into their Absher accounts via the app or website to explore the latest features and requirements.

Launched in 2013 by the Saudi Interior Ministry, Absher continues to expand its digital services to reduce paperwork, improve accessibility, and enhance user experience.
