The Muroor stated that it is critical to give priority to ambulances on the roads, noting that failing to do so is considered a traffic violation, with a financial fine ranging from SR1,000 to SR2,000 as the penalty.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) previously emphasised the importance of making room for ambulances, as doing so would help save many lives.

The authority clarified the steps that drivers must take if an ambulance is nearby, noting that if traffic and roads are clear, they must yield to the left lane.
Drivers must give way in the middle of the road if the road has two lanes by moving to the far right or far left.
However, if the road has three or more lanes, vehicles in the right and middle lanes must move to the far right, and vehicles in the left lane must move to the far left.
It is worth noting that the SRCA, in collaboration with the Muroor, announced the launch of an app for automatic monitoring and recording of violations related to obstructing ambulance movement by failing to yield to them.
The app’s monitoring began on Sunday, March 26, and it will record, among other things, motorists who follow the path of ambulances rushing to their destinations.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
