Saudi Arabia recently announced numerous job opportunities for Pakistani professionals in the IT sector, following a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Crown Prince highlighted Saudi Arabia’s significant need for skilled Pakistani IT professionals, stating the Kingdom requires “hundreds of thousands” of experts, with demand projected to grow in the years ahead. This workforce request aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on digital transformation to diversify its economy and boost the tech sector.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared the details of his conversation with the Crown Prince in a cabinet address in Islamabad, emphasizing the vast potential these job openings hold for Pakistan’s tech workforce. More specifics are anticipated in the near future.
PM Sharif also noted Qatar’s plan to establish an IT Park in Pakistan to foster education and training programs in technology, preparing Pakistani professionals for international roles.
The meeting also touched on expanded cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in solar energy, mining, agriculture, and investment. The Prime Minister revealed that a Saudi investment delegation had already visited Pakistan, with plans for reciprocal visits soon to explore economic partnerships.
This initiative offers a valuable pathway for Pakistani IT talent seeking global roles and strengthens the economic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
