Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has begun issuing Umrah visas for the post-Hajj season, starting with the Islamic year on Muharram 1, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Thursday. This initiative aims to facilitate pilgrim arrivals and ensure a smooth experience for all.
The ministry is following directives from Saudi leadership to accommodate a higher number of Umrah pilgrims and provide services tailored to their needs. Previously, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had paused the issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk application for a month beginning May 23, to prioritize the comfort of Hajj pilgrims from around the world.

As of Dhul Hijjah 15 (June 21), the ministry has resumed Umrah visa issuance via the Nusuk App. This move is expected to streamline the arrival process for Umrah pilgrims into Saudi Arabia. The ministry emphasized that this annual initiative, following immediately after the Hajj season, utilizes their expertise in implementing technical and field programs designed to cater to both Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, thereby enhancing their overall pilgrimage experience.
